The company has launched its new electric car Seal 06 EV, which is as big as the Tesla model 3 in size but is about 50% cheaper in the price. The size of Seal 06 EV of Byd is kept almost equal to Tesla Model 3. Its length is 4720 mm, width 1880 mm and height is 1495 mm. Talking about design and dimensions, it is fully capable of attracting customers in the mid-size sedan segment.

Battery option and driving range

The company has launched this car in two battery options:

46.08kwh battery variant: Once gives a range of up to 470 km on full charge.

56.64kwh battery variants: The capacity to run up to 545 km in single charge.

Both variants are suitable for urban and long distance drives.

Byd Seal 06 EV has been introduced with several premium features, including:

The initial price of byd Seal 06 EV has been fixed at 1,09,800 yuan (about ₹ 13.07 lakh). At the same time, the price of Tesla Model 3 RWD of this size is 2,35,500 yuan (about ₹ 28.02 lakh) in China. That is, this car is available at about half the price compared to Tesla.

With this move of Byd, there is a panic in the EV market of China. The company has also received warning from the China Automobile Manufacturers Association in May due to a huge price cuts. The organization warned byd to reduce the price of vehicles by 34%, as it could increase the pressure on the rest of the brands.
