Many people love salmon because of its unique flavour and range of great health benefits. However, salmon can be boring if you don't cook it right. One viral recipe shows how to easily make salmon into a delicious dish - and it simply involves putting it in the oven.

The recipe was shared by Instagram user Jenna Ann Hunter, who called it the ultimate "lazy girl dinner". She shows how she simply pops the salmon into a baking dish with other ingredients and takes it out, revealing a delicious meal after she gives it a quick mix and adds in some pasta. "To be honest I thought this was going to come out tasting like butt but it was actually really good," she said. "It was super quick & easy to make too!"

The video shows the home cook placing salmon in a baking dish along with tomatoes and boursin cheese. She also adds spinach, but this part is optional.

The ingredients she uses are: 1 salmon fillet (skin off), 1/2 Boursin puck, 1 cup spinach, 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic powder or dehydrated garlic to liking, salt/pepper to liking and 2 cups cooked pasta of choice.

To start, she preheats the oven to 190C and in her baking dish, she adds salmon, spinach, Boursin, and cherry tomatoes. Then, she drizzles olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper over the dish. "Cover with tin foil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until til the salmon is thoroughly cooked & the tomatoes have burst," she says.

Once it's done, you take it out of the oven and mix it all around, creating a super creamy dish. She adds cooked pasta, and the meal is complete.

Many were impressed by the simple yet delicious recipe. One person commented under the video: "This looks amazing! I'd do this without the pasta and extra salmon."

Another shared: "Making this for dinner tonight!" A third commented: "This is what I'm talking about."

Salmon can be made in a number of ways, and while some people opt to cook it in the oven, you can also pan-fry it. Seasonings on salmon are important as well, and many people swear by things like garlic powder and even cumin.
