Govinda was a major superstar in the 1990s and when it comes to comedy no one could rival him. At the height of his career it was said that any film he worked on was destined for success. He starred in numerous comedy films many of which were directed by David Dhawan and Pahlaj Nihalani. Recently a renowned comedian who collaborated frequently with Govinda shared his experiences of working with him. One of Bollywoods Finest Comedians Here we are talkig about Johnny Lever who has made our childhoods memorable with his perfect comic timing and unforgettable characters. In an old interview with Wild Films India Johnny Lever described his experience working with Govinda stating that no one matches Govindas comedic timing. He praised Govinda extensively calling him an unparalleled actor in the realm of comedy. Johnny Lever remarked “Govinda jab kaam karte hai toh pagalon ki tarah karte hain. When he’s on set he pours his heart into his work. He becomes so engrossed in what hes doing that I often wonder where he finds all that energy. Comedy is inherently challenging yet he would shoot 5-6 films a day dedicating 2-3 hours to each one. He went on to say that there was a time when Govinda could easily deliver comedy amidst a hectic schedule. Not only in comedy but also in dance he was exceptional. “Aadmi beemar pad jata hai thak jata hai  Uss beech main kabhi kabaar unke ghar jaya karta tha kabhi unhein typhoid ho gaya hota kabhi kuch. Yet he would always rise return to work and shoot fight scenes as if nothing happened. He is genuinely a hardworking individual.” Johnny Lever expressed “I always enjoyed working with him. In my opinion among all the actors who engage in comedy Govindas timing is the best. While Akshay Kumar has also significantly improved his comic timing in recent years Govinda is on another level entirely.” Govindas Breaks on Set When asked about his favorite collaborations with Govinda Johnny Lever mentioned films like ‘Deewana Mastana’ and ‘Joroo Ka Ghulam.’ He recalled the exhausting shooting schedules noting that Govinda would sometimes take breaks between shots to regain his energy.
