Airline Industry: If you are going to travel by air, especially by Air India, then this news may be a cause of concern for you. The country’s leading airline Air India faced a big problem today when it had to cancel many of its flights. The main reason for the cancellation of these flights is said to be bad weather and technical maintenance of aircraft, due to which passengers are facing huge inconvenience.
Generally, flying in bad weather becomes very difficult from the safety point of view, especially when there is heavy rain, strong winds or low visibility. At the same time, aircraft maintenance is a very important process, without which no aircraft is allowed to fly. It ensures that the aircraft is completely safe and fit for flight.
Why were the flights cancelled?
Bad weather: Sudden weather changes (such as heavy rain or storms) in many areas have affected airline operations. Reduced visibility on runways and following other safety protocols at airports make aircraft movements difficult.
Mandatory technical maintenance: Some aircraft can operate under safety standards only when their scheduled maintenance (periodical maintenance) has been completed. If the maintenance of an aircraft is not completed on time or an unexpected technical problem occurs, then that aircraft is not allowed to fly until it is completely repaired. This leads to cancellation or delay of flights.
Trouble faced by passengers:
The cancellation of these flights left a large number of passengers stranded at airports, their travel plans were disrupted and many had to look for other options. The airline has apologized to the passengers for these circumstances. Usually in such a situation, airlines accommodate the affected passengers on other flights or refund them the full amount of the ticket.
The airline claims that it is trying to normalise the situation as soon as possible and is providing all possible assistance to the affected passengers. Given the increasing pressure on air travel and seasonal changes such as monsoon, passengers are advised to keep in touch with the airline’s website or helpline to get information about the status of their flight.
