A few years later Rekhas name was also linked with Akshay Kumar. Rekha played the role of a lady don in Akshay Kumars blockbuster film ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ (1996). Rekha and Akshay Kumar had great chemistry in the film.  In the late 80s Rekha who had a close bond with Vinod Mehra decided to take their friendship forward. It is believed that the duo even secretly tied the knot which was later denied by Rekha. The relationship did not last long as the actor’s mother did not like Rekha.
