India's commanding performance in the first Test against England at Leeds got even better as vice-captain Rishabh Pant joined Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill in scoring a century in the first innings.

Continuing his impressive form in England, Pant lit up Headingley with a knock that was both impactful and entertaining.

This was Pant’s seventh Test century overall and his third on English soil, reaffirming his reputation as a big-match player in overseas conditions.

He reached the landmark in 146 deliveries, finishing the day unbeaten on 113 off 156 balls, including 10 fours and 5 sixes. True to his fearless style, Pant brought up his hundred with a massive six over long-on off Shoaib Bashir.
