IIT Kharagpur has marked a remarkable achievement in the 2024–25 placement season by receiving over 1,800 job offers, including 409 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and 25 international offers. Despite a globally challenging job market, the strong hiring numbers underline the institute’s solid industry reputation. The season began with momentum—800 offers were made in the first two days, and by Day 3, the total crossed 1,000. Impressively, nine students received annual packages exceeding ₹1 crore, with the highest reaching ₹2.14 crore.

Professor Rajib Maity, Chairperson of the Career Development Centre, credited the success to dedicated support systems and a focus on readiness and resilience.
