Singer-actor Harrdy Sandhu issued a warning to his fans about fraudsters operating a fake Telegram account that falsely promised personal access to him in exchange for money. He revealed that the matter came to light when someone messaged his manager, Pouja Gandhi, on Instagram, alerting them about an account claiming to be from his team and inviting fans to join a Telegram group. Harrdy expressed shock and concern, stating that the fake account appeared convincing enough to mislead genuine fans, which was worrying to him.Speaking to Hindustan Times, Harrdy said, "It was shocking when we came to know about they have been misguiding people and promising them personal meetings with me in exchange for money. That kind of emotional and financial exploitation is completely unacceptable." Calling it 'disturbing,' the singer shared that it wasn’t just about impersonation, it was outright fraud, with people misusing his identity to manipulate others and undermine the trust he has built with his audience.The singer's manager expressed concern over the incident, calling it 'unfortunate' that the fake accounts were able to mislead fans by posing as members of Harrdy’s team — including the Telegram account that was wrongly verified. She added that all necessary steps have been taken to report the matter to the cyber security cell and urged fans to stay alert and always verify any information through Harrdy's official Instagram account.He shared that despite reporting the matter to Instagram, Telegram, and filing a cyber complaint with detailed evidence, barely any action has been taken. Harrdy added that the Telegram account is still active and verified, highlighting how the system has failed to respond swiftly to such serious concerns."Educate yourself. Always double-check. And know that if something sounds too good to be true — it probably is," concluded Harrdy.
