'I'm a flight attendant and you should never wear these five things on plane'

A flight attendant has shared the clothes she would never wear on a plane as they could cause far more trouble than they are worth.

Cher, who goes by @cherdallas online and and has six years of experience in the skies, strongly advises against wearing playsuits or jumpsuits, branding them a "double no no". She elaborated: "I would never wear a romper. If you're going to the bathroom, that thing is going to end up on the floor, which is soaked with pee and doesn't get mopped often."

Cher warns that toilet floors accumulate more urine than passengers might expect, and due to the constant use, they aren't thoroughly cleaned as often as you might think.

For a similar reason, she recommends avoiding shorts, regardless of the temperature.

She continued: "The amount of times that dirty diapers get changed on the seats is astonishing. Not to mention people vomit.

"People are dirty themselves and are sitting in the seats. You're asking for ringworm or an infection by wearing shorts."

Moving on to on footwear, Cher also recommends steering clear of flipflops or sandals, pointing out that the aircraft's carpeting may also not be that clean.

She continued: "I would never wear a tank top or tube top by itself. Not only are you going to freeze to death but I feel like decorum wise, it's always better to air on the side of modesty when it comes to travelling."

She also advised against wearing a jumper without a T-shirt underneath, as it could lead to overheating without the option to remove layers.

The influencer recounted an incident where a passenger became so hot that she had to sit in her bra to cool down.

One follower chimed in with a complaint about aircraft cleanliness: "The price we pay to fly, they should be cleaning the damn planes!".

Another expressed astonishment at the casual attire of some travellers: "The amount of people I see traveling in shorts and flip-flops is absolutely mind blowing."

A third commenter added: "You had right up until modesty. I have my own set of standards and I'm not gonna apply those to others."

Someone else shared their own travel tip: "T- shirt and hoodie is the best and light but full length pants. But I did make a mistake to go without shoes to the bathroom - that's not happening again."

Lastly, a user recounted a personal experience that left them feeling uncomfortable: "At a recent flight, I sat down and my seat was warm and damp, it was the first time I wore a maxi dress at a flight. Never again. My legs were covered by the fabric of the dress but I still felt gross."
