Popular Indian singer and actor Harrdy Sandhu has issued a warning to his fans about a fraudulent group that is using his name to scam people out of money by falsely promising meet-ups through a fake Telegram account.

Scam exposed through Instagram message

Speaking to Indian media, Harrdy revealed that he found out about the scam when someone sent a message to his manager, Pooja Gandhi, on Instagram.

According to Harrdy, the message informed Pooja about an account claiming to be part of Harrdy’s team and inviting fans to join a Telegram group.

Harrdy expresses concern over fake account

During the interview, Harrdy expressed shock and concern stating that the fake account was so convincing it could mislead even his most devoted fans which he found deeply troubling.

“I was shocked to learn that the scam group was misleading people and taking money from them in exchange for fake promises of a personal meeting with me,” Harrdy said.

Trust and identity misused

Calling the incident “disturbing,” the singer emphasized that it was a complete fraud where people were misusing his identity and violating the trust he had built with his audience.

His manager also voiced concern, calling the situation “unfortunate,” especially since the fake accounts successfully impersonated members of Harrdy’s team and deceived fans.

Cybercrime report filed

Pooja confirmed that all necessary steps have been taken to report the matter to the cyber security cell. She urged fans to stay vigilant and verify any information only through Harrdy’s official Instagram account. “Please don’t fall for these scams. Always cross-check using official platforms,” she added.
