Teacher’s WhatsApp hacked, then copied the voice and cheated 40 thousand from children

Una News: A shocking case of cyber fraud has come to light from Una district of Himachal Pradesh. WhatsApp account of a female teacher of a government school was hacked and about 40 thousand rupees were cheated from their students. The hacker sent a message to the children in the name of the teacher and gave the need of the need for money. Some children came and sent money in emotions, while some spoke to the teacher first and the fraud was revealed.

Five people made hunting

Five students have become victims of this cyber fraud. As soon as the teacher came to know about the fraud, he immediately got his bank account freeze and called many students themselves and made them aware of the matter. On Saturday, he lodged a complaint with the cybercrime branch.

The victim teacher said that on Friday, he received a WhatsApp message from a senior social worker and writer. A link was given in that message and wrote that it has to be clicked and participated in a workshop. Due to trust, he clicked on the link. After this, their WhatsApp was hacked and the hacker started demanding money by sending messages to their students.

An amount of 12,500, 16,500, 8,500, 2,000 and 820 rupees was called from children in separate transactions. Overall, there is a fraud of Rs 40,320.

Hacker copied teacher’s style

The teacher told that the hacker tried to understand the style of his conversation and talked to the children in the same words so that there was no doubt. But some children understood the difference in language and they did not send money.

People need to be vigilant

SP Una Amit Yadav told the media that the matter is being investigated. He said that people need to be cautious and aware to avoid cyber fraud. Be sure to check it before clicking on any unknown link or suspicious message.
