India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak said in a conversation with the media, “I would say that it was a little fall, because the batsmen were also present. From 430 to 471 all out for three wickets, the batsmen were also out in it, so it was not just the last five; it was a little fall. We were expecting it better, but it could happen.” During this, the batting coach praised wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who scored 134 runs off 178 balls with the help of 12 fours and six sixes and became the third century of India’s innings.
Batting coach Kotak said, “Rishabh Pant is someone who makes his plan himself. He decides and (then) he bats. This innings was slightly different from what you look at him normally but sincerely all his plans are the way he wanted to take it and when he wanted to attack, he could not play the aggressive (and he wants to play.”
