Rohit Sharma is quite popular with his forgetful behavior, and now he has shared a humorous story about when he forgot what to choose after winning the toss. The story heads back to the 2013 Champions League, when he was leading the Mumbai Indians as a young captain leading the franchise for the second time.

In a YouTube show named "Who is the Boss,' Rohit Sharma shared that the team had an extensive meeting in the team session and that MI will choose to bowl if they win the toss. But after he won the toss, he declared to bat first. Reason? The pitch looked good, and he wanted to bat on it.

Notably, Anil Kumble was the mentor of the team, who got abit frustrated with Ro's decision, but Ro finally proved himself right by winning the match. In the interview Ro said,

"This is an incident from the 2013 Champions League. We won the toss. We had decided to field first, but I won the toss and batted first. Anil bhai asked 'What did you do Rohit? ' I told him, 'Anil bhai, I thought the pitch was good so I thought of batting first but I had forgotten and said it wrong at the toss. We won the match."

Rohit Sharma led to double title

In 2013, Mumbai Indians (MI) achieved a rare feat by winning both the IPL and the Champions League T20 in the same year—a record only matched by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2010. Rohit Sharma, who took over MI's captaincy mid-season from Ricky Ponting, led the team to their first IPL title in his debut season as skipper.

Later that year, MI triumphed over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an all-Indian Champions League final held in Delhi. The match held special significance as it marked the final professional appearances of cricket legends Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar in the T20 format.
