Tesla, famous for its technology, is ready to launch its EV in India very soon. The American EV manufacturer has camped in 2 cities of India to officially introduce EV filled with its technology. Tesla is eager to launch its EV in the world’s third largest automobile market. Earlier this year, Tesla finalized its showroom places in Mumbai and New Delhi. According to industry sources, we have received an estimated price of the upcoming Tesla EV. Tesla will first launch its entry-level EV, model Y. Model Y will be imported from Tesla’s China Factory. Earlier there were rumors that model Y would be introduced at an affordable price of about Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

However, since the Tesla model Y will be imported from China, its price can be quite high. Industry sources say Tesla has imported 5 models Y from China. The model Y is priced at $ 31,988, which is about 27.70 lakh rupees. However, this price costs 70% import duty, which is about 21 lakh rupees. Originally, the Tesla model Y will be priced at around Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). So, the model Y will compete directly with byd Sealion, which is also almost the same price.

The US -based brand will officially open its Mumbai showroom in July, followed by the New Delhi showroom in late July. The brand will probably launch its entry-level EV, model Y. According to industry sources, the model Y RWD version will go on sale, and will be imported from Tesla’s China Factory. Tesla has not yet been able to establish production facilities in India, and the initial models will be imported units from China. However, Tesla is planning to stab production facilities at the near Future.
