

Bengaluru has achieved another historical place. This city of India has also joined the top 12 technology hub in the world. According to Global Tech Talent Guidebook 2025 released by real estate service company CBRE, Bengaluru has given itself a place in the global list of ‘Powerhouse’ markets.
This report said that Bengaluru has now become the largest technology talent pool in the Asia-Pacific region, where more than 1 million tech professionals are actively working. This achievement has put Bengaluru in the queue of major global cities like San Francisco, New York, London, Tokyo and Singapore.
Youth population became the backbone of tech growth
CBRE reported that the strength of Bengaluru is not only in its workforce, but also in specialized skills, especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to the report, Bangalore has the largest number of AI professionals in India, which is of the level of America’s leading tech hubs. Between 2019 and 2024, the working population of Bengaluru has registered a 2.4% increase and now 75.5% of the population here is of the working age group. This Demographic Advantage is strengthening the fast growing tech industry of the city.
28 unicorn startups in Bengaluru
Bangalore’s startup ecosystem is also flourishing rapidly. There are 28 unicorn startups here and in 2024 the city raised $ 3.3 billion in 140 Venture Capital Deals, out of which 34 deals were just AI focused. Bengaluru has a lot of support from world class educational institutions and favorable government policies, which is constantly being prepared in areas such as AI, data science, engineering and product development.
Delhi-NCR and Mumbai are also not far behind
Along with Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai are also playing an important role in India’s tech growth. Delhi-NCR raised $ 1.9 billion in 183 deals, while Mumbai earned an investment of $ 4.9 billion through 167 deals.
CBRE report said that factors like education, standard of living, cost of real estate and funding have affected the distribution of global tech talent and Bengaluru is firmly ahead in all these areas.
