The 17-year-old on the weekend posted photos that included him playing football with Neymar, cruising around a golf course and relaxing by the pool.

The teenage football star also met up with world surfing champion Gabriel Medina during his trip. Earlier, he was spotted vacationing in Italy, sparking dating rumors with social media influencer Fati Vazquez who shared similar photos.

Yamal was just six years old when Neymar joined Barcelona from Santos in 2013. While he considers Lionel Messi the greatest player of all time, Neymar remains his biggest idol.

“I was seven when I first saw him play in person at Camp Nou and it was incredible to see him,” Yamal told CNN in an interview earlier this year. “It’s true that Messi was there, who was also incredible, but Neymar was something totally different. He has always been my idol. He’s a star, a football legend,” Yamal added.

Back in April, Yamal also spoke of growing up “wearing Neymar shirts”. His recent decision to dye his hair blond before the Copa del Rey final was said to be inspired by Neymar, ESPN reported.

Yamal is enjoying a well-deserved summer break following a stellar season in which he helped Barcelona win La Liga, Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey. He scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists in 55 matches, making him a candidate for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
