During his two-day trip to Varanasi, Shah is set to lead the Central Regional Council meeting at Hotel Taj Ganges on June 24.
The footage captures Shah visiting the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple, where he was accompanied by Adityanath. As Shah entered for darshan, a priest welcomed him and began the blessing ritual. However, the priest's animated use of a peacock feather, waved vigorously over Shah's head, took everyone by surprise.
The priest's enthusiasm seemed to overshadow the fact that he was addressing the Home Minister. Adityanath, noticing the situation, discreetly gestured for the priest to ease up, which he promptly did.
