Operation Sindhu: 161 Indian citizens arrived in Delhi from Israel under Operation Sindhu from Iran

Operation sindhu: The Indian Air Force launched ‘Operation Indus’ to return Indian citizens to a safe home to Indian citizens amidst Israeli-Iran war. Under Operation Sindhu, 161 Indian citizens from Israel reached Delhi on Tuesday. According to reports, the C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force flew with these citizens and landed safely at Delhi Airport this morning. The government started a campaign to evacuate Indians from Israel from 23 June. More than 300 Indian citizens have been evacuated from Israel in two batch on Tuesday.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs (MOS) Pabitra Margerita welcomed him at the airport. The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal said that the Israeli phase of Operation Sindhu started on 23 June. Jaiswal emphasized that the security of Indian citizens abroad is the top priority of the government. In a post on X, Jaiswal said, “The Israeli phase of Operation Sindhu began on June 23, 2025, in which the first group of 161 Indian citizens was brought home from Israel. They reached New Delhi safely from Amman, Jordan at 0820 am today. At the airport, MOS @PMARHERITABJP welcomed them. Is.”
