Haryana Rain Alert  Monsoon entered Haryana on Tuesday via Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of widespread rain in the state for the next 7 days, which can prove to be a relief from the heat. On Tuesday, rain was recorded in Nuh, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Panipat, Bhiwani and Gurugram, while most districts including Panchkula and Hisar remained cloudy.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Chandigarh Center has released a detailed rain forecast from June 25 to 28. The probability of rain for each district during this period has been expressed on a percentage basis, which can help farmers and common people in preparing for the weather.

Estimate for June 25:

25–50% rain: Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind

50–75% rain: Sonipat, Panipat, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Gurugram, Palwal, Mewat, Faridabad

75–100% rain: Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar

Estimate for June 26:

75–100% rain: Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Panchkula

50–75% rain: All other districts

Estimate for June 27:

50–75% rain: Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, Mewat, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Sirsa, Fatehabad

75–100% rainfall: Rest of the districts

25–50% rain: Sirsa, Faridabad, Palwal, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal

Temperature drop

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Haryana recorded a fall of 1.6 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the average maximum temperature of the state has reached 4.3 degrees below normal, which is considered a big relief in the month of June.

However, the hottest district was Sirsa, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius.

Big change in temperature in last 24 hours

  • In the last 24 hours, a big change in temperature was seen in many districts of Haryana.
  • The maximum temperature in Narnaul increased by 1.4 degrees to reach 35.4°C.
  • The maximum drop of 5.4 degrees was recorded in Karnal, after which the temperature there remained 30.2°C.
  • This drop in temperature is due to the onset of monsoon and the frequency of clouds.
