In the ever-evolving world of showbiz where OTT is currently dominating the content landscape soap operas have taken a back seat. However amidst the overflowing content on OTT one soap opera that has stood out for entertaining the audience for over a decade is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. This family-friendly sitcom not only makes people laugh but also each of its characters is designed in a way that touches an emotional chord with the audience. One such character from this beloved sitcom is Kush Shah who portrays the character of Goli. Goli is loved for his mischief and innocence but now after nearly 16 years of working in this show Kush has left the show and is currently pursuing his higher studies in New York. Recently in a podcast Kush opened up about his transition. He shared that he is currently living alone in New York and trying to come to terms with his new life which is completely different from the one he left behind. Speaking about managing things all by himself he said “I never even washed dishes before going to bed but now I do everything myself.” He also shared that he was initially supposed to share space with a roommate; however he didnt turn up and now he is facing challenges in doing things all by himself. Speaking about how he used to live in back in India he revealed I used to eat on the bed. That’s when I found out cockroaches come because of that. he added Here I’ve realised how dirty I used to live back in India.” Although Kush appreciates his new life in New York he says he was unaware of managing things all by himself as he used to stay with his parents. Despite finding New York safe overall Kush says that he is scared of beggars “I’m scared of beggars and homeless people in New York because they can attack you out of nowhere” he shared. “One even tried attacking me once. That never happened in India.” While Kush is adjusting to his new life in New York his fans still remember him fondly as Goli.
