Milan forward Luka Jovic is reportedly closing in on a move to Mexican club Cruz Azul, as the Serbian’s time in Rossoneri colours draws to a close.

According to the latest reports from Mexican outlet Record, via transfer marketCruz Azul are optimistic that they can beat off competition from European clubs to sign the forward when his contract expires at the end of June.
The reports suggest that Ivan Alonso, the sporting director of the Liga MX side, has remained persistent in his pursuit of the 27-year-old – with the club ready to make the former Real Madrid man a marquee signing.

After reports last week suggested that Milan refused to activate their extension clause in the player’s contract, his Rossoneri fate was sealed.
Jovic signed for the Serie A side for a fee believed to be in the region of just €500,000 in September 2023 from Fiorentina. Since signing for Milan, he appeared in 38 Serie A matches, scoring eight goals.
