Alisha Lehmann's Switzerland have faced humiliation after being trounced by an U15 boys football team in preparation for Euro 2025. With the Euros set to commence next week in Switzerland, starting with Iceland taking on Finland on Wednesday, July 2, Switzerland's women then take on Norway at St. Jakob-Park. Their warm-up, however, was marred by a 7-1 defeat to FC Luzern's U15s in a behind-closed-doors match meant to remain under wraps.

Nonetheless, the score was leaked after one of the teen players shared images from the friendly on TikTok before deleting it, but not before spilling the beans about the final score in the video's comment section.

Sven Micosse, head of communications for the women's national team, defended the practice by saying: "It's not uncommon in women's football to compete against junior teams. The goal: to bring a certain competitive element.

"The focus during this phase of preparation is on the physical aspect. Regardless of the result, these training matches are very similar to our international matches in terms of intensity and mileage.

Switzerland's only goal came from Alayah Pilgrim, with the leaked images also confirming Lehmann's involvement in the game despite doubts around her participation for the home Euros following her drop from the national team and limited playtime at Juventus.

Reports from Switzerland indicate that prior to the Luzern match, they had already competed against two other youth teams. The women's team suffered a 2-1 defeat to FC Solothurn's U15 squad, but managed a 2-1 victory over FC Biel's U15 team.

The hosts of Euro 2025 are scheduled to play another friendly match against Czechia on Thursday.
