Actress Esha Gupta finally broke her silence on reports that she once dated Team India cricketer Hardik Pandya. She revealed that they indeed did talk for quite some time, but things fizzled out even before they could reach the dating stage.'Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months. We were at that ‘maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t’ stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage," she told Siddharth Kannan on his podcast."It wasn’t dating-dating. We met once or twice, that’s it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended," she added. She mentioned that there was "no bitterness" and that things could not work out between the two due to timing and compatibility issues. She also stated that while she wanted a meaningful relationship away from the spotlight, it clashed with Pandya's high-profile and outgoing nature.Esha also addressed the Koffee With Karan fiasco involving Pandya and how he was slammed for his misogynist comments. "That part didn’t affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she said. But it is to be noted that Esha was amongst the few celebs who criticised Pandya for his comments after the episode had aired in 2019. Pandya later went on to marry Natasa Stankovic in 2020, and in 2023, they renewed their wedding vows. But in 2024, the couple parted ways for reasons unknown. At present, the cricketer is rumoured to be dating singer Jasmine Walia.Meanwhile, Esha, on the work front, was last seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram, co-starring Bobby Deol. If reports are to be believed, she has been approached to star in Hera Pheri 3.
