Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh recalled a terrifying episode of epilepsy which she encountered while on a flight to the United States. The actress shared that she suffered multiple seizures, post which she was given heavy doses of medications.

Recalling the incident, Fatima told Humans of Bombay, "I had a major episode when I had multiple seizures. I was travelling to the USA and it was via Dubai flight. I got seizures on the flight. Then I was taken to the airport hospitals, I was given the medication but then also my seizures weren’t stopping, then they gave me a very high dose."

"They gave me a certain chemical and I was already on a different chemical. So in epilepsy you have to wean off one chemical before you can take another one. So, I was so drugged out," she added.

Fatima shared that she was shooting for Sam Bahadur and Dhak Dhak simultaneously during that period. "I had to cancel shoot, one of the guy called me and asked me if I can shoot and I started crying because I couldn’t get out of the bed. I was constantly dropped out. My emotions were all over the place," she said.

The Dangal actress revealed it was then that she felt the need to talk about her condition in front of the world, to create awareness, and to tell people that it was okay to seek help.

On the work front, Fatima will be next seen in Metro...In Dino, opposite Ali Fazal. She also has Aap Jaisa Koi slated to release on OTT on July 11.
