
Police searching for a missing woman have made the tragic discovery of a female's body in the water. Officers said the find was made in Hallglen, around two miles south of the town of Falkirk, Scotland. Detectives discovered the body at around 1.45pm today (Wednesday) near Hallglen Terrace.
Police Scotland had hours earlier launched a missing person search for Jennifer Stephen, who had been last seen on Tuesday. Formal identification had not taken place on the body, but the force said Ms Stephen's family had been informed. The death is being treated as unexplained at this stage, and police said enquiries were ongoing.
In a statement tonight, Police Scotland said: "Around 1.45pm on Wednesday, 25 June, 2025, the body of a woman was found in the water near Hallglen Terrace, Hallglen, Falkirk.

"Formal identification is yet to take place, however the family of Jennifer Stephen, who was reported missing earlier in the day, has been informed. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries ongoing."
Hallglen Terrace is part of the Hallglen estate in Glen Village, and sits close to public footpaths, nature walks and several bodies of water.
