BYD’s Electric SUV: BYD Atto 3 swept across the world with its revolutionary electric vehicle sales. The Atto 3 was an international launch in February 2022, and it is also called Yuan Plus in China. Within the first 14 months, it sold 300,000 units. • Dynamic- Rs.24.99 lakh
• Premium- Rs.29.85 lakh
• Superior- Rs.33.99 lakh

These are ex-showroom prices, and with no local assembly as of now, the prices are still on the higher side.

Battery and Range Options

BYD Atto 3 provides two battery pack choices to cater to diverse driving requirements:

A 49.92 kWh battery with a range of 468 km

A bigger 60.48 kWh battery with an extended range of 521 km

These ranges place the Atto 3 as an efficient EV option for city and intercity travel.

Features by Variant

Base Variant – Dynamic

Even the entry-level model is equipped with features such as 7 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, 360° holographic imaging, ADAS, and an electric tailgate.

Mid Variant – Premium

The Premium model features everything from Dynamic with the added benefits of adaptive headlights and Level 2 ADAS but lacks a few premium features of the top trim.

Top Variant – Superior

Superior comes with a complete premium package featuring highlights such as ambient lighting, 8-speaker audio, and complete Level 2 ADAS, among other enhancements.

Why Local Manufacturing Matters

BYD has yet to commence local assembly in India. When that happens, the prices could get more competitive, which could possibly make Atto 3 more affordable for Indian buyers. Currently, its premium pricing is due to import duties and high-end construction quality.
