
Mumbai: Jalna is rapidly emerging as a hub of industrial development in Maharashtra. To ensure employment opportunities for the youth and to create avenues for self-employment, the state government is taking proactive and positive steps. According to the demand for skilled labour in local industries, the government will provide specific vocational training through industrial training institutes (ITIs).
This approach will enhance the skillset of job seekers and provide skilled manpower to the industries. As a result, every educated youth in the district will be gainfully employed. This firm assurance was given by the Minister for Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha.
The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Employment Fair was organised at the Pathrikar Campus of Arts, Science, and Commerce College, Badnapur.
The event saw participation from various dignitaries and officials including MLA Narayan Kuche, District Collector Dr. Shrikrishna Panchal, Skill Development Commissioner Lahu Mali, Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Chimankar, Deputy Commissioner Vidya Shitole, Devesh Pathrikar, Joint Director P.T. Devatale, Dr. Zakir Pathan, and other officials from relevant departments.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lodha emphasised that if entrepreneurs and the government collaborate, the prosperity of Maharashtra is certain. He stressed the importance of public-private partnerships and reiterated that skilled manpower will be created through ITIs. At the employment fair, 40 companies offered on-the-spot employment opportunities to candidates.
Minister Lodha stated that new industries are established based on factors like law and order and availability of manpower, and that skilled human resources are a vital part of this foundation. Therefore, new trades will be introduced in ITIs as per the technical requirements of industries.
The machinery required for such training will also be supplied by the government on a priority basis. He urged all officials of the concerned departments to carry out their responsibilities with honesty and ensure quality outcomes.

Throughout these meetings, he issued clear directions to the concerned officials.
The meetings were attended by local MLAs Babanrao Lonikar, Arjun Khotkar, and Narayan Kuche, along with District Collector Dr. Shrikrishna Panchal, Superintendent of Police Ajaykumar Bansal, and senior officials from the Skill Development Department including Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Chimankar, Deputy Commissioner Vidya Shitole, and Joint Director P.T. Devatale.
