Today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai opens with Armaan (Rohit Purohit) assisting Abhira (Samridhii Shukla) in washing utensils. She's ignoring him as much as she can. He then speaks with Vidya, who informs him that Abhira has struggled significantly since his departure. He feels bad that his family has had to endure so much. He also learns of Kaveri 's plot to marry Armaan and Anshuman . Furthermore, Armaan confronts Abhira about her marriage to Anshuman.

He informs her that he is thrilled for her and that she has signed the divorce papers to remarry. She becomes irritated and insists that he has no right to comment on her life. She shows her displeasure and tells how Armaan forgot about his marriage to Abhira while getting engaged to Geetanjali. She also accuses him of replacing Pookie with Maira. Armaan is saddened by her harsh words, in which she calls him a stranger. Kaveri also requests that Armaan let Abhira alone so she can go on with her life.

Further into the episode, we witness Abhira in peril. She's besieged by gangsters, and guess who rushes to her rescue? Armaan. He claims to always be on Abhira's side, which enrages her even more. The people of the community begin to gossip about Armaan and Abhira.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan will decide to abandon everyone and return to Mount Abu. But Abhira will stop him.
