The backlash erupted over Hania’s inclusion in the film, leading to public outrage and criticism of the cast, especially Diljit, who continued promoting the movie while remaining silent on the issue.

Reddit users have pointed out that Neeru Bajwa has taken a clear step back from the film. According to a post by Instagram page ‘Lollywoodspace’, Bajwa has deleted all Sardaar Ji 3-related posts from her profile just a day before the film’s overseas release on June 27.
