Why is Rath Yatra celebrated?

The primary aim of the Jagannath Rath Yatra is to transport Lord Jagannath to his aunt's residence, specifically the Sri Gundicha temple. As per religious tradition, annually, the Lord visits his aunt's home with his sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra for a duration of seven days. At this time, he exits the temple to grant darshan to the ordinary devotees.
