Nowadays almost everyone has a smartphone and we keep lots of photos, videos, apps, and files in it. But there comes a time when the phone's storage gets full and then the phone starts running slow or it becomes difficult to download something new. If you are also facing this problem again and again, then by adopting these easy tips you can prevent your phone's storage from getting full.

Delete unnecessary apps

Many times we download such apps that never open after using them once. The need for those apps ends. You can delete old games, shopping apps, or trial apps. For this, you have to go to the phone's Settings and go to Apps and see which app is taking how much storage.

Clear the cache every week.
Whenever apps are used, they save the cache of data. This data is not necessary. It only eats up space in your phone. To clear, go to Settings and click on the Storage option. Here you will see the option of Cached data, click on Clear cache and clear all the cache.

Save photos and videos in Google Photos.
The phone gallery takes up the most space. Backup photos/videos with an app like Google Photos and then delete them from the phone. This will free up storage and the data will also be safe.

Do smart cleaning with the Files by Google app. This app Google is specially made to remove unnecessary files, duplicate photos, and old screenshots. This will also save space and increase the speed of the phone. The good thing is that you can clearly see in it what to delete and what not.

Restart the phone and keep auto-cleaning on
Sometimes not restarting the phone for a long time also deteriorates the performance. Turn off the phone once a week and then turn it on again. For this, go to Settings and keep features like Storage management or Smart cleaning on.
