Many big rules are going to change simultaneously – ranging from relay tickets to ATM charge, from PAN card to credit card payment. If you do not understand these changes in time, then you may have to pay penalty or you may have to loose your pockets.

1. Railway ticket booking rules changed: Aadhaar compulsory
From July 1, a major change is being made in the Tatkal ticket booking system of IRCTC. Now Tatkal tickets will be available only to those passengers whose IRCTC account is verified by Aadhaar.
Also, the Railways has also increased the fares slightly – 0.50 paise to ₹ 0.02 per kilometer.

2. Aadhaar is necessary to make a new PAN card
Now from July 1, it has been made mandatory to give Aadhaar number for making a new PAN card.
Those who already have a PAN card, it will be mandatory to link their PAN to Aadhaar by 31 December 2025, otherwise their PAN will be defused.

3. New payment fees for HDFC Credit Card Users
HDFC Bank has announced a 1% additional fee for credit card payment from third-party apps (eg PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm).
Also, this charge will be applicable on the payment of utility bills like electricity, water and gas, which can increase monthly expenses.

4. Rules in lieu of ICICI Bank ATM: Charge after free limit
ICICI Bank has set free limit of ATM transaction:
- 3 free transactions in metro cities
- 5 free transactions in non-metro cities
After this, ₹ 23 will be charged on every cash transaction and ₹ 10.50 on non-financial transaction like balance check.

5. Utility bill payment from credit card now expensive
From July 1, an additional fee will also be charged for paying electricity, water or gas bills through credit cards.
Earlier this service was free, but now this expenditure can affect your monthly budget. EMI or auto-debit users will have to be more cautious than this change.
