Jaffar Express hijacked in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, 400 passengers held captive by BLA

New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): Militants fired at the Jaffar Express, a passenger train carrying around 400 people, on its way from Quetta to Peshawar in southwestern Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The attack, which occurred on March 11, injured the train driver and sparked panic among the passengers. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist militant group, claimed responsibility for the assault and alleged they took hostages, including security personnel. However, provincial government and railway officials have not confirmed the hostages' claims.
