Now the photocopy of Aadhaar will not have to be given, the government launched a new app with face recognition

Obnews Tech Desk: The Government of India has launched the new Aadhaar app keeping in mind the digital security and user facility, which includes modern technology of facial recognition authentication and digital verification. The app was introduced by Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav during the third edition of the Aadhaar Dialogue.

Now the photocopy of Aadhaar will not have to be given

The biggest feature of this app is that now there will be no need to give photocopy of Aadhaar for identity verification at places like hotels, shops or airports. Minister Vaishnav said, “Now only the required data can be shared with a tap, which will give the user complete control over his personal data.”

Verification process will be like UPI

The verification process in this app will act like UPI payments, where users will be able to certify their identity by scanning the QR code. It adds an additional safety level to face recognition technique, which only actual users can share data.

Currently in beta testing, public release will be soon

Currently, this app is in beta testing and is made available only to select users, including participants of the Aadhaar dialogue program. UIDAI will soon launch it to the general public, which will further strengthen the country's digital public infrastructure.

Facial authentication is getting big approval

According to UIDAI, face authentication technology has already been widely adopted, and more than 15 million transactions are being completed through this through this.
