PhonePe UPI Circle: Digital payment platform PhonePe has launched a new innovative feature 'UPI Circle' for its customers. This feature will benefit the most those who do not have their own bank account or who are new to digital banking. Through this new feature, users will now be able to make payments for their family, friends, or trusted contacts, that too without the need for their bank account.
What is PhonePe UPI Circle
PhonePe said that now any primary UPI user can create his UPI Circle and add his family or any trusted person as a secondary user in it. This can then be done by scanning the UPI ID or QR code. Once added, secondary users can make payments directly from the primary user's account on PhonePe, but the primary user will have full control over all transactions.
They can approve or reject all payment requests, view the account of expenses, and can also remove someone from the UPI Circle whenever they want.
These people will benefit.
PhonePe claims that this feature is completely strong in terms of security and trust and its interface has been made intuitive for the user so that everyone can use it easily. This feature is especially beneficial for those who want to give the responsibility of payment to their elderly parents, college-going children, or someone for household chores.
How to use PhonePe UPI Circle?
Open the PhonePe app and tap on the 'UPI Circle' option appearing on the home screen.
Tap on 'Invite Secondary Contact' and scan the QR code or enter the UPI ID manually.
The secondary user will get an invite on the PhonePe app, which has to be accepted.
Once connected, the secondary user can make a payment by selecting the primary user's account.
