The move comes amid India's ongoing military standoff with Pakistan and escalating tensions between the two neighbouring countries. These exams were to be held for the posts of assistant professors in the college cadre for chemistry and physics subjects, a commission spokesperson said.
The exams, originally scheduled for May 11, were to be held in the morning and evening sessions but have now been postponed till further notice. The revised date of the exams will be announced later, the spokesperson said. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for the latest updates.
