The Department of State reports that earlier today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a conversation with Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir. To prevent future confrontations, he persisted in urging both sides to find methods to de-escalate and offered U.S. aid in initiating productive negotiations.

The US plans to de-escalate tensions between the two nations, according to a statement made earlier by US White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been in de-escalation negotiations with the presidents of both countries, according to Leavitt.

Marco Rubio, our national security advisor and secretary of state, has been actively involved in this matter. She said, “The President wants this to de-escalate as soon as possible.”

Leavitt said that negotiations are underway to avoid further escalation of the long-standing issue between the two countries.

This occurs when tensions between India and Pakistan continue to rise. Cross-border firing by Pakistan on Saturday severely damaged civilian areas in the Rajouri district of Jammu and increased local people’s anxiety. Residents in the area were alarmed when a series of explosions destroyed many homes and buildings.

“Drones have been seen at 26 points along Pakistan’s international border and line of control. Among them are allegedly weaponised drones. The places include Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, Lakhi Nala, Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, and Lakhi Nala. Unfortunately, a local family was injured when an armed drone struck a residential location in Ferozpur.

Security personnel have cleaned the scene and provided medical aid to the wounded. As part of the heightened level of readiness, the Indian Armed Forces are using counter-drone technologies to monitor and combat any such airborne threats. The Indian Armed Forces are taking swift action wherever necessary and continuously monitoring the situation. It is recommended that residents stay home, avoid needless movement, and closely adhere to local authorities’ safety directives, particularly in border regions.

The Ministry of Defence said in their statement that “heightened vigilance and precaution are essential, but there is no need for panic.”

According to the sources who spoke to the media report, India promptly began the retaliatory attacks after Pakistan targeted 26 places around India on Saturday. Several locations along the Line of Control (LoC) continue to see intermittent fire.

As tensions between the two nations continue to rise, senior government sources said that Indian attacks in the early hours of Saturday had targeted at least four Pakistani airbases.
