The makers of Badmashulu announced a release date for their film on Friday. Featuring debutant Mahesh Chintala and Vidyasagar Karampuri in the lead roles, the comedy entertainer is scheduled to hit theatres on June 6.
The team also unveiled a new poster while announcing the release date. The poster features Mahesh and Vidyasagar, along with Kavita Srirangam and Deeksha Koteswar, who play prominent roles in the film. By the looks of it, the film promises to tell the story of two working-class men, one being a barber and the other a tailor.
The poster also mentions the credit titles with deliberately incorrect spellings of the designations, hinting at a language barrier being a plot point in the narrative. Badmashulu also stars Muralidhar Goud in a prominent role.
The film is directed by Shankar Cheguri, marking his filmmaking debut, and produced by B Balakrishna and C Rama Shankar under the Thara Story Tellers banner. Vineeth Pabbathi is the cinematographer, and Gajjala Rakshith Kumar is the editor. Music direction is by Teja Kunuru.
Badmashalu will be distributed by Deepa Arts for its theatrical release.
