Jeep has unveiled a new limited edition for the Wrangler called the Willys ’41 Special Edition. The new edition will be limited to just 30 units in India and will have a few styling ques from the classic old Willys Jeep which is what has made the Jeep brand. The Willys ’41 edition will be be priced Rs 1.51 lakhs over the regular Wrangler Rubicon.

As far as the changes go, the main talking point is the special colour which is the “41 Green” and harks back to the sandy green colour of the Jeeps of the old. It gets a unique 1941 hood decal, power side steps, unique floor mats and front and rear dash cams. While these changes look to be very small, the new ’41 Willys edition will surely be an eye catches since its so limited.

One can also add an optional accessories package which includes a roof carrier with integrated side steps and a Sunrider roof. The Sunrider roof is essentially a part hard top and part soft top and can easily be folder to form a opening up front like a sunroof. This option pack will cost an extra Rs 4.56 lakhs.

Mechanically, the Jeep Wrangler remains the same and will come with the 2.0L turbo-petrol engine which produces 268 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Power goes to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Wrangler has solid axles front and back and it also has differential lockers on both axles.
