Dr Sethi says that to maintain good health, the Japanese people have come up with a new technique called Interval Walking. In this type of walking, one walks slowly for the first 3 minutes and then walks fast for 3 minutes as if one is getting late for a meeting.

If you do interval walk for 30 minutes or half an hour every day, you can see amazing results. Interval walking keeps blood pressure under control, reduces the risk of stroke, improves mood, boosts immunity and also helps in improving sleep quality. Doctors say that studies show that by walking like this, cardiovascular health i.e. heart health remains good and fitness increases.

How to do interval walking

To do interval walking, start walking comfortably for 3 to 5 minutes. After this, do a brisk walk. Now cool down for 3 to 5 minutes. If you walk like this every day, your health starts to remain good.

Whenever you go for a walk, make sure to keep a water bottle with you so that there is no shortage of water in the body. Apart from a straight flat path, you can also walk on a slightly upward path. If you walk by improving your lifestyle habits and taking care of your diet, then it also shows effect in reducing obesity.
