The cancellations have been made as a safety measure in response to recent military developments and suspected terrorist activity near the border areas. With restricted airspace and increased security protocols the airlines are taking every precaution to protect passengers and staff during this sensitive period. IndiGo Airlines announced the cancellation of its flight operations to and from Jammu Amritsar Chandigarh Leh Srinagar and Rajkot airports for Tuesday. India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in reply to the ghastly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. The terror attack had killed 26 people. India had struck nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan sought to up the ante with a series of unprovoked escalations using artillery guns and drones.
