This beauty in discussion is Leela Chitnis. Leela was a teacher by profession. However she did not like the job very much. She came from a background of people who gave first preference to education. Leelas father was an English professor. Hence when Leela entered the Bollywood industry she already was a graduate. After completing her studies she joined a drama troupe from where her acting career began and she became a part of Bollywood in the 1930s. First actress to do Lux ad Lux has been a popular brand for soaps and body washes. While today it is Suhana Khan daughter of Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador of Lux there were many actresses who became the face of the brand in the past. However it was Leela who became the first Bollywood actress to advertise Lux soap. In her career Leela played various small roles. However her real recognition came with the film Gentleman Daku in 1973. Leela Chitnis said goodbye to the film industry in 1987 after working in the film Dil Tujhko Diya. After this she wrote her autobiography in the Marathi language which was named Chanderi Duniyat.
