
Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma and some of the well-known players of MI have started training as IPL 2025 is going to resume soon. However, some of the other prominent names have not joined the session as of now.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is going to resume on May 17, and all the franchises are preparing for the tournament to begin. On Wednesday, May 14, Mumbai Indians (MI) started their first training session. MI’s return to action was accompanied with Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma.
Head coach Mahela Jayawardene and New Zealand’s star Mitchell Santner were also spotted among the well-known names. Apart from that, stars like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav do not seem to have arrived.
In a video shared by the franchise on their official social media handle, it is seen that Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Mitchell Santner, Karn Sharma and a few other players are back for training. Along with them, head coach Mahela Jayawardene and bowling coach Lasith Malinga have also been seen.
Mumbai Indians are now waiting for the return of their stars Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah- players who have been extremely important in the shining of their career in IPL 2025.
Along with their key players, MI will also aim for all their overseas players to provide their services for the entirety of the remaining season. Though Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch have been selected for South Africa’s squad for the 4World Test championship (WTC) final, they might get ruled out of the playoffs in case the franchise makes it to the playoffs.
