Mahindra has been maintaining a steady near 3k units wholesales for its new Born electric twins but the difference in the latest month is that buyers are choosing the larger XEV 9e over the BE 6 as sales for the both have skewed towards the larger car. The XEV 9e also gathered more bookings ever since they were revealed and we also have maintained that the larger XEV has more space which appeals to buyers. Sales of the BE 6 have reduced while the XEV 9e sales have increased.
Both maintain sales of nearly 3k units with the XEV doing more than 2,400 plus units while the BE 6 is doing just more than 550 units. Both SUVs received 30,179 bookings when they were opened with a clear focus on the larger XEV 9e despite the fact that the BE 6 has more range as well as performance with its smaller size. That said, we can see an increase in these numbers when deliveries for the 59kWh battery pack version will happen in the coming days. Currently these two BEVs have a 79kWh and 59kWh battery pack option with the larger one being preferred by buyers.

Mahindra could also introduce new variants later to further increase the sales given the initial market feedback on these two cars with lower variants getting a larger battery pack or more. With these two cars, Mahindra has now reached near the MG Motor sales volumes and also coming closer to Tata.ev which has the biggest range of electric cars in India with lots of models.
