The latest episode of Doctor Who, titled The Interstellar Song Contest, introduced a new cast member, Archie Panjabi, who had viewers with their jaws on their floors with the character she was playing.

The ending to the sixth episode featured Anita Dobson's Mrs. Flood revealing herself to be the Rani. Doctor Who fans will recall that Rani, played by Kate O'Mara, was first seen in 1985 in the episode The Mark of the Rani. The antagonist is a Renegade Time Lord and Doctor Who's nemesis. The last minutes of The Interstellar Song Contest revealed that Mrs Flood (Dobson) bi-generated and Panjabi emerged as The Rani. She had been hiding in secret as Mrs Flood and waiting to go up against the Doctor, played by Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa, again. The two characters Rani and Mrs Flood are set to return in the two-part finale titled Wish World and The Reality War. The old rivals will go head-to-head in a monumental battle.

Wish World is set to release on May 24 on BBC and on Disney+ a day later, while The Reality War will premiere on May 31.
