Bigg Boss 18’s Shilpa Shirodkar tested positive for Covid-19, suffering from high fever

New Delhi: Actress and former Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shilpa Shirodkar has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time, she confirmed exclusively to News9. Taking to Instagram, she announced the same, leaving her fans worried about her health. Shilpa, who is the sister of Namrata Shirodkar, won several hearts with her stint on the Salman Khan-hosted show.

The cases of coronavirus are on the rise in Singapore, Hong Kong, as well as Mumbai, with health authorities monitoring the cases. However, there are no indications that the variants of the virus circulating are more transmissible than the previous ones. The COVID-19 cases in Singapore are estimated to have increased to 14,200 in the week of April 27 to May 3, compared to 11,100 cases in the previous week.

Shilpa Shirodkar Tested Positive for Covid-19

Taking to Instagram, Shilpa Shirodkar shared, “Hello people! I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Stay safe and wear your masks!” According to our sources, the actress is currently suffering from a high fever.

As soon as the post was shared on social media, several celebrities and fans wished her a speedy recovery. Actress Sonakshi Sinha wrote, “Oh god!!! Take care shilpaaa… speedy recovery.” Another commented, “Oh shucks!! Take care my dear❤.”

Speaking to News9 exclusively, she said, “Yes, I have got Covid. It is okay. I have a high fever, which is terrible, but I am resting now.”

Another commented, “It’s on the air .. a lot getting it .. mask 😷 on most important.. get well soon my darling.”

In 2021, Shilpa Shirodkar was tested for COVID-19 while she was in Dubai. At that time, she wrote, “Covid positive!!! #day4.” She urged fans to stay safe and get vaccinated. “Stay safe, everyone. Please get vaccinated and follow all the rules… your government knows what is best for you.”

Shilpa was also the first personality from Bollywood to get the COVID-19 vaccine and received her first shot in the UAE.

According to the Union Health Ministry’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are 93 active cases in India currently. BMC executive health officer Dr Daksha Shah said that there is no cause for concern as far as the Coronavirus is concerned as the cases are mild.
