A disagreement over DJ arrangements took a deadly turn in northwest Delhi’s Mahendra Park on Saturday, when a group of boys allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old to death following an argument with one of them the previous day. According to police, a call regarding a stabbing was received at the Mahendra Park police station around 8:15 pm on May 17. "A team was immediately sent to BJRM Hospital, where a youth identified as Bheem Sen had been admitted with stab injuries by his friend," said a senior officer. Upon arrival, the police found that the victim had sustained two stab wounds and was undergoing treatment.
Despite medical efforts, Bheem Sen, a resident of Village Badhola in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead shortly after being admitted, a TOI report said.
Police registered a case of murder under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Mahendra Park police station and launched an investigation. Forensic and crime scene experts were called in to gather evidence.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Sen was approached by one of the accused, reportedly a juvenile, regarding a DJ booking for a local event. “An argument broke out between them over the booking, after which the juvenile conspired to take revenge. He, along with three friends, allegedly plotted and carried out the attack,” a senior officer said.
On May 17, the group confronted Sen and stabbed him during a scuffle. All four accused have been apprehended.
Efforts are also underway to recover the weapon used in the attack. Further investigation is in progress.
