
In order to build industrial corridors along the Ganga, Bundelkhand, Agra-Lucknow, Purvanchal, and Gorakhpur Link expressways, the Uttar Pradesh government has purchased 3,827 hectares of land.
Including stamp and registration costs, the government had to pay more than Rs 5,500 crore for the land purchase. Industries like logistics, food processing, IT, electronics, warehousing, and pharmaceuticals will all benefit from these industrial corridors.
At a cost of Rs 1,882 crore, more than 1,043 hectares have been purchased along the Ganga Expressway. Along this road, eleven industrial corridors are now under development. At a cost of Rs 1,655 crore, more than 1,528 hectares have also been purchased for the Bundelkhand Expressway.
For Rs 1,365 crore, 873 hectares have been acquired for the Purvanchal Expressway. Along this highway, industrial corridors will be built in Lucknow, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur.
For Rs 305 crore, 168 hectares have been acquired for the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. Gorakhpur and Azamgarh would gain from the establishment of two industrial hubs along this road.
Additionally, for Rs 300 crore, more than 212 hectares along the Agra-Lucknow Expressway have been bought and recovered. Along this road, five industrial townships will be built in places like Firozabad, Agra, Etawah, and Kannauj.
