Watch: Arshad Khan takes a nasty tumble not once but twice while bowling and twitter can't help but react

A fast bowler can sometimes lose his stride in his run-up and it can result in a dangerous landing or even a slip of the foot while landing making it a risky proposition for the bowler. These incidents are rare in cricket but it happened twice in an over in Match 64 of IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today (May 22).

LSG were put into bat by the GT skipper Shubman Gill and the second over of the innings was bowled by left-arm pacer Arshad Khan. He had a horrible start as he slipped and landed on the side of his heel. Arshad seemed to be in big trouble being unable to stand properly for a while. He got attention from the physio before he got ready to start the over once again. There was also some sawdust applied on the landing area to help the pacer.

Just 4 balls later, Arshad crashed down scarily once more, this time missing his landing completely and once again he had to receive attention from the physio. The GT players including Shubman Gill looked worried for the pacer and the like of Mohammad Siraj, Shahrukh Khan and R Sai Kishore helped with the sawdust. Arshad was lucky that he was able to complete the rest of the over before he wandered off to get some much-needed treatment.
