To take the “Yogandhra-2025” project to the next level, District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar instructed authorities to find yoga teachers at the district level and master trainees at the mandal level. On Friday night, he convened a virtual conference with high-ranking officials to outline the implementation strategy for the next month.
During the meeting, which was attended by Gudur Sub Collector Raghavendra Meena, Commissioner N. Mourya, and Joint Collector Shubham Bansal, the Collector emphasized the significance of promoting yoga from the village to the district level. In order to engage the public and guarantee the campaign’s success, he demanded a well-coordinated action plan. According to Dr. Venkateswar, there should be four master trainers in each mandal, each of whom is responsible for teaching at least fifty people, with the goal of training 25,000–30,000 people in each mandal. On May 24 and 25, a five-session master trainer training program is planned.
To raise awareness and make registrations easier, village secretariat employees have been instructed to walk door-to-door. The secretariat personnel are in charge of enrolling participants from various levels, including villages, mandals, districts, Visakhapatnam, and other places.
Under the Yogandhra-2025 campaign, committees at the district, mandal, and village levels are being established to carry out a range of events and contests. On May 29 at Tirupati, June 4 at Chandragiri Fort, and June 11 and 17 at Srikalahasti and Sriharikota, special awareness events will take place at popular tourist destinations.
Municipal Commissioners have been directed to use wall murals in busy public areas to spread the word about the program. DRDA, DWCRA, DWMA, MEPMA, ICDS, TTD, Police Department, and educational institution officials have been instructed to make sure that their employees and pupils are registered. The virtual meeting also included representatives from Tirupati, Srikalahasti, and Sullurpet RDOs Ramamohan, Bhanu Prakash Reddy, and Kiranmayi.
